Make sustainability a way of running a business

Textile Industry

FROM ZERO TO 100

Embedding Sustainablity in an established business

This French business changed hands a year ago and was acquired by investors who wanted to be pioneers in sustainability in their industry.

We started with their customers requirements in terms of environment and societal criteria, an Ecovadis questionnaire and a materiality analysis.

Alongside the review of the business mission and purpose, the company filed for becoming an 'entreprise a mission' while applying for a B Corp accreditation. Part of the process included a carbon footprint exercise to understand the level of emissions caused by the activities of the business.

Today, we are writing the impact report, building the mission committee

The company has developed partnerships within the region, enhancing its sustainability efforts though collaboration and innovation, entering new markets and building for a greener, fairer future.

B CORP ACCREDITATION

Beyond a 'better for you' product

This raw chocolate bar brand wanted to validate its sustainability and public health endeavour with an external recognition for its efforts through a B Corp accreditation.

The project here was based on developing the policies and procedures translating the company's mission and establish a monitoring system to keep track of the impact of the business activities.

It allowed for a new direction in the conversation with the stakeholders and a re-assessment of the selection criteria.

The B Impact assessment was completed and all required evidence gathered to collect sufficient points to submit an application to B Lab UK. It is today pending verification.
